I didn't look at the dates on these reviews, but wish I had. Kushies aren't bad, but they don't even compare to the latest diapering systems.
Pros:
All in one. No folding, stuffing, etc.
Relatively inexpensive for a cloth diaper.
Cons:
Poor fit. Very very narrow in the crotch, very long. (my 11 week old is about 11lbs & the crotch is barely big enough to cover her. The front comes up past her navel.)
Because of the fit, lots of leaks--straight out the sides.
Takes FOREVER to dry--in the dryer, over an hour & still damp in the center. 80deg sunny day outside longer than a bath towel on the line. Inside drying rack, don't bother--12 hrs still damp.

I've never used cloth diapers before but boy do I wish I had! I can only imagine the money I would have saved. These Kushies diapers are easy on the pocket book! I am using them on my newest baby (child number 4). She was over 10 pounds at birth. We used disposibles for the first week because I heard its impossible to get the "tar" poopy out of cloth. But then it was cloth on full blast. We have a 10 yo, 4 yo, and a 3 yo also so diaper time needs to be fast and efficient. The infant diapers are huge but you just pull the sides up and across tighly so they fit well. The manual gives you examples on how ot make it tighter. No leakage whatsoever if you pull it tight. Onesies will fit with no problem, as will outfits of any kind. We use a kushies cloth liner and then an AIO and we have very minimal leaking (only if left on for over 5 hours at a time and then she only had leaking around the leg area on her onesie). She still has very loose breastfed stools and still NO Leaking! Just take out the liner, shake in the toilet, and it's ready for the wet pail. If a busy mom of four can use these cloth diapers with ease, then anyone can! Only down side is the velcro comes undone in the wash, but hello, you can pull that apart. And they take a long time to dry on low (the recommended heat setting). But I had my hubby put up a clothing line and they dry outside on the line in about and hour or less on hot days. We bought 15 diapers and 20 liners for a total of about $140 and we will not need to buy more until she is over 22 pounds. A great investment and well worth the money. Read the manual prior to use and read reviews. Don't believe everything bad, because anyone can use these! :)

We've tried most of the popular cloth diaper brands (Bumgenius, Happy Heinys, etc.), and Kushies are not bad for the price. I was disappointed that the outer cover has a vinyl/plastic feel--not soft like a Bumgenius diaper. I would not recommend cloth diapering with Kushies exclusively, but if you need a few extra diapers to help extend your time between washings these are not bad.

They work great! They come very clean, they fit great, and they're cute. They can be a little bit bulky and are NOT good for brand new babies (even if they are 10 pounds). My son was 9 1/2 pounds at birth and 10 1/2 pounds at 2 weeks, but I had to wait until he was about four weeks old (12 lbs) to really use them on him, because they were just entirely too big at first. But, I love them! This is my third child, but my first experience with cloth diapering and I really love them.

I chose to use cloth diapers for environmental reasons, mostly, but I was looking for something that was as easy to use as disposables, and ended up buying Kushies before my baby was born. My little one is six months old today. The way I see it this is a great diaper, but there are a few things you should know before buying:
1. They are bulky, and will look big on your baby's bum, especially while the baby is on the lower side of the indicated weight range of 10-22 pounds. In fact, we found them to be so bulky we chose to delay using them until he gained some more weight. I'm afraid I never bought the newborn-size version of this product (He already weighed over 8 pounds at birth) so I cannot say if they would have worked. I settled for a combination of disposables and pre-folds until he reached about 14 pounds.
2. They take a long time to air-dry. If you live in a humid area and/or do not have a dryer, you will need to buy a large number of diapers to get by while you wait for the next batch to dry. Even in a dryer, you will have to run them for a little over one cycle to really get them dry.
3. Will not work overnight with a heavy wetter. Yes, I know, they say you can use a liner overnight. Maybe I just have a very heavy wetter on my hands here, but I have conceded to using a disposable at night-time, otherwise I have to wake up for a diaper change.
Those things considered, I still like these diapers for the following reasons:
1. Very absorbent. (Daytime use, with a liner)
2. Almost no leaks. In fact, I found I had more leaks when using disposables.
3. Very durable.
4. Easy to clean - make sure you wash according to instructions - fold up the velcro straps or they will tangle up in the washer.
4. As simple and easy to use as a disposable
5. Good value - again, compare to the cost of disposables
I recommend buying 15 diapers to start, then buy extra ones if you feel you need more. You will need a good washer and preferably a dryer. I would also recommend some sort of cloth liners - I use folded, plain flat diapers for that purpose. Don't give up if you get some leaks at first - it takes a couple of days' practice.
