Cloth Diaper Bargain May 11, 2010 Allison Wilson (Ft. Hood, TX) If you're looking for a bargain while cloth diapering, these covers and prefolds to put inside them is one of the most cost effective ways to diaper. We have five covers and wash diapers every other day. We always have an extra cover. Since these can be reused between washings they cut down the cost of cloth diapering significantly. We've been using Bummis Super Whisper Wraps for about 5 months and they do show some wear but still work well. I anticipate they will last through another child.
What I don't like:
My child figured out how to remove his diaper the easiest in these. With a prefold in it they are the bulkiest option.
What I do like:
These fit very well around the legs. When my son was younger he was very chubby and now that he's slimmed down significantly they still fit well around his legs. They are durable and made of a soft cloth.
Good, basic diaper cover April 28, 2010 Amy (Washington DC) This is a good basic diaper cover. We had five of this size and five of the small size. They all lasted through diapering 2 kids and both were potty trained long before we would have had to move up to anything larger. Both of my kids were slim but we had no problems with leaks as long as the prefold diapers were tucked in everywhere. I did find that I needed to fasten the prefold with a Snappi fastener Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Mint color mix). We used these mostly for daytime diapering and washed them together with the diapers. The laundry tabs are handy for preventing the velcro from sticking to other things in the laundry.
These were okay diaper covers November 12, 2009 D. Darling (American Forces Europe) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I haven't used these in a while, but I remember that they were pretty good. Not my favorites, but good for the price and the weight range is pretty big.
It gets the job done July 10, 2009 Kelly K. Browne 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I decided to start cloth diapering my 14 month old, I bought some prefolds, fitteds and four covers of different brands. The Bummis Super Whisper Wrap was by far my least favorite.
This diaper wrap is very sturdy and well made. It washes up beautifully and dries quickly. However, it is stiff, bulky (yes, cloth diapers are bulky, this cover is extra bulky) and fits awkwardly. The leg openings lack gussets, which means that you must take extra care to tuck and retuck the diaper to avoid wicking.
My personal preference is for a softer, stretchier cover, such as the Imse Vimse Soft cover. Imse Vimse Bumpy Soft Cloth Diaper Cover - Large (20-26 lbs) However, friends of mine rave over the BSWW, and I can see for myself that the quality really is very good.
Good quality product March 2, 2009 Sarah Feinstein (Chicago, IL) I have a bunch of these covers and they have held up well. Some of them have been used for a couple babies and the velcro still works. The leg openings are a bit large for my daughter, but she is slender. It would probably be ideal for most other babies.
